Ingredients in white chocolate chip blondies
- Flour: Use all-purpose flour, otherwise known as plain flour. If you’d like to make them gluten-free, you can use gluten-free baking flour. I highly recommend the Bob’s Red Mill brand (or any blend that contains xanthan gum).
- Butter: You can use regular butter or vegan butter, if you need them to be dairy-free. I recommend the Earth Balance brand.
- Sweetened condensed coconut milk: This is an alternative to condensed milk. It’s thick, creamy, and super sweet. It typically contains two ingredients: sugar and coconut milk.
- Macadamia nuts: I strongly recommend using raw macadamia nuts, not roasted and salted macadamia nuts. Be sure to chop them into smaller bits and pieces before adding them to the batter.
- White chocolate chips: Any white chocolate will do! If you need the recipe to be dairy-free, make sure you opt for vegan white chocolate chips. I have listed links to my favorite brands in the FAQ section below.
- Baking powder: Baking powder helps the blondies rise while baking in the oven.
- Vanilla extract: We’ll use an entire tablespoon to create a rich vanilla flavor.
- Salt: Salt balances the sweet ingredients. I love adding an extra sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top of the bar after baking. This helps produce a delicious salty-sweet flavor.
