Description

Gingerbread cookie dip, also known as gingerbread cheesecake dip, is a delicious dessert dip for the holidays! It can easily be made vegan, dairy-free, soy-free, and gluten-free. It’s packed with cream cheese, brown sugar, powdered sugar, molasses, cinnamon, and ginger. The easy one bowl recipe is made in only 10 minutes. Serve it with Christmas cookies, graham crackers, chocolate, fruit, and more!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese or vegan cream cheese (8oz)
  • 1/2 cup butter or vegan butter (4oz)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (106g)
  • 2 tbsp molasses (30mL)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 12 cups powdered sugar (120-240g), sifted
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, add cream cheese, butter, brown sugar, molasses, and vanilla.
  2. Using a stand mixer or electric handheld mixer, cream together until smooth and evenly combined.
  3. Add 1 cup sifted powdered sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and salt to the bowl. Cream together until evenly combined. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed by adding the extra 1 cup powdered sugar. This will make it taste sweeter and mask the cream cheese flavor more.
  4. Transfer the dip to a bowl. Garnish with toppings of your choosing, like holiday sprinkles or cinnamon sugar. Serve with cookies, graham crackers, fruit, and more. Enjoy!
