Description

This homemade cashew butter is creamy, easy to make, ready in 5 minutes, and requires just ONE ingredient! Spread it on your favorite toast or add it to oatmeal, smoothie bowls, and baked goods.

Ingredients

Scale

Cashew Butter

  • 2 cups cashews, roasted or raw
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Optional Add-Ins (choose 1-2)

  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tbsp cacao powder

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients to a high-speed blender or food processor.
  2. Process ingredients for 5 minutes, stopping periodically to scrape down the sides of the blender as needed. Be patient! First, the cashews will crumble into a powdery consistency. Continue processing. Eventually, they will form into a smooth and creamy nut butter.
  3. Transfer cashew butter to a lidded jar or airtight container.

Notes

  • Be sure to use a high-powered food processor or blender (such as a Vitamix blender). Your blender may require additional time, depending on the blade speed.
  • If your blender/processor is overheating, stop to let it cool for a few minutes before processing further.
  • To roast cashews at home, bake at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes. Allow them to cool before processing into cashew butter.
