Ingredients
Scale
Cashew Butter
- 2 cups cashews, roasted or raw
- 1/2 tsp salt
Optional Add-Ins (choose 1-2)
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1–2 tbsp cacao powder
Instructions
- Add ingredients to a high-speed blender or food processor.
- Process ingredients for 5 minutes, stopping periodically to scrape down the sides of the blender as needed. Be patient! First, the cashews will crumble into a powdery consistency. Continue processing. Eventually, they will form into a smooth and creamy nut butter.
- Transfer cashew butter to a lidded jar or airtight container.
Notes
- Be sure to use a high-powered food processor or blender (such as a Vitamix blender). Your blender may require additional time, depending on the blade speed.
- If your blender/processor is overheating, stop to let it cool for a few minutes before processing further.
- To roast cashews at home, bake at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes. Allow them to cool before processing into cashew butter.
