Ingredients in strawberry fudge

  • Sweetened condensed coconut milk: Nature’s Charm condensed coconut milk is made from coconut milk and sugar. It’s a dairy-free alternative to sweetened condensed milk.
  • Chocolate chips: Use dark chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips. Make sure they are dairy-free if you’d like the recipe to be vegan-friendly.
  • Strawberries: Ripe strawberries will produce the sweetest, juiciest flavor. The redder the appearance, the better!
  • Vanilla extract: Add a dash of vanilla extract to enhance the chocolate flavor.
  • Salt: Salt balances the sweetness.

How to make chocolate strawberry fudge

For the full ingredient measurements and step-by-step instructions, scroll down to view the recipe card at the bottom of the page.

Line an 8×8-inch square pan with parchment paper, leaving some paper hanging over the edges. This will prevent the fudge from sticking to the pan.

In a large bowl, add the chocolate chips. Pour sweetened condensed coconut milk over the chocolate chips. Microwave for 90 seconds. Add vanilla extract and salt, then whisk together to evenly combine the ingredients.

Pour the fudge into the baking dish. Spread evenly across the bottom of the dish. Add chopped strawberries on top, slightly pressing them into the fudge.

After, chill fudge in the refrigerator for 2 hours or until firm. Lift parchment paper out of the pan to easily remove the fudge. Slice into 16 bars. Enjoy!

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Can I use another fruit?

Absolutely! Feel free to swap the strawberries with raspberries or blueberries instead.

Can I use regular coconut milk?

No, you must use sweetened condensed coconut milk to make this fudge. Classic canned coconut milk will not produce the same fudgy texture or sweet flavor.

Can I make it on the stovetop?

Yes. Instead of the microwave, simply melt the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed coconut milk together on the stovetop. Remove the pot immediately as the chocolate begins to melt. Stir in the vanilla and salt, then proceed with the recipe as written.
